Have you ever felt caught between the world you’re in and the one God is calling you to? Alien: Created for Another Kingdom challenges and inspires you to live for a heavenly cause in the wisdom of the Bible, pointing you to a higher purpose in Christ.
Using numerous, personal illustrations and careful explanation of Scripture, this book by church leader Daryl Driver first makes relevant the theme of being alien, then demonstrates that we’re born alienated from God but by grace can be made members of His family. We then are sent back into the world as aliens for Christ, and finally we’re heavenly citizens in the age to come.
Jesus is the ultimate model for an alien life; at the same time, we see this theme clearly in many other biblical characters as well. While reminding the reader of God’s love and faithfulness, the book also teaches in detail what it means to live an alien life and provides challenges, in fresh and thought-provoking ways, to consider the call to Christian discipleship.
Christians today are bombarded with distractions that preach comfort and convenience, and we’re often seduced into thinking of the faith as merely a political position or a future reality. Alien, however, presents a more abundant way.

In Alien: Created for Another Kingdom, author Daryl Driver helps us to better understand our true identity as followers of Jesus in this present physical world in which we live. Through personal stories of his own life and many passages of Scripture, he gently yet boldly addresses the challenges, feelings, and pitfalls we have experienced, or will experience, as we live in, and travel through this earthly world. I found myself connecting with this book in ways that were both healing and challenging and it resonated with me as no other writing on this subject ever has. If you want a challenge to better impact this world for the Kingdom of God through your daily life, or if you wonder at times why as a follower of Jesus you feel out of your realm and homesick, I encourage you to read this book. It changed me, and I believe will do the same for you.
— Myron Roggie, Senior Pastor of Naumburg Mennonite Church and RNOC overseer

Finally, Alien inspires readers to reevaluate their priorities and embrace the transformative power of living with an eternal mindset.
— Brian Hershberger, Executive Director of Rosedale Network of Churches
Alien is a well thought-out and challenging book. Daryl Driver leads the reader on a path of exploration regarding what it means to live as a citizen of God’s Kingdom in the midst of the kingdoms of this world. Daryl works hard to ground his teaching in the Word of God. I believe this is an important work and well worth the time it takes to read it. Thank you, Daryl!
